This is the third custom home that I have designed for Paul and Teresa Kennedy.  This time the Kennedy's came to me with an unusal request, they wanted to downsize.  Their last house was 3,707, this house 2,677.  The driving force was to be as energy efficient and sustainable as possible.  The design included high-efficiency windows, 10" thick Rastra walls, and an opperable clerestory.  This is our fourth five-star City of Austin Green Building Home.  There have only been about thirty-five five-star homes in the last eight years.
