A beautiful lot near
Leakey Texas, in the hill country was the site for this uniquely Texas
residence. Beverly Cook wanted to utilize the "small home
concept" as discussed in Sarah Susanka's book, The Not So
Big House for a home to retire to and
for her family for their yearly family reunions.
We incorporated cedar tree columns, with
durable Austin Limestone and a clay tile roof. Three true masonry
fireplaces add warmth during the chilly hill country nights, and the
ample covered
porches on both floors protect the house from the brutal Texas summers.
